-Steve Maraboli-

welcoming the rainy days

Sans the flood and traffic, there is something so comforting about the rainy days. A bowl of steaming chicken soup with freshly toasted bread (or mere wishes for it if you can't cook and there's no cooking stove in your house anyway)........................ warm, hug-me sweaters with your favorite pair of blue jeans (but if it happens to still be with the laundry shop, hope that your least favorite which reminds you of those days when you were still two sizes smaller would do).................... cuddles while listening to the falling rain outside (pillows make a great substitute if things have been too complicated between the two of you to even consider cuddling)................... and of course, a cup of hot chocolate with lots of marshmallows (sipping it while reading your work emails and finding out that you got assigned to another task just when you're already swamped up to your neck somehow cushions the blow).

OK. I therefore conclude that rainy days are only for those who can cook and who are happily coupled; well-to-do people who have money plenty enough to just stay at home and forget about work.

How about those who are alone or have lousy relationships that they'd rather be alone and cannot afford to not go to work because they got assigned to another task when they're already swamped up to their necks? Well......... there's just the hassle of flood and traffic.
